Memorial Day Sale at Totsy

It seems like the deal sites are all the rage these days! And it makes sense. The basic idea is that the best deals are found in bulk. So the deal sites negotiate a fantastic deal with the retailer and basically say "If we get X amount of people to go for this deal, will you give it to us"! It's a win-win for everyone! It drives tons of people to the retailer's site and gets their products seen, and it gives all the consumers a chance to get some amazingly cheap products! Well this one is called Totsy and they have adorable kids (and ladies) stuff. You probably all know by now that I love children's boutique items. But, I just can't afford to pay $75 for a beautiful smocked dress that my 8 month old will be able to wear for 1 month. Wish I could, but I just can't. But Totsy always has beautiful online boutique deals for about 60-75% off. Just as an example - they have an adorable pink seersucker dress with a little boat applique, button back, with bloomers - for only $14! I just went to a little children's boutique here in Charlotte yesterday and that same outfit would absolutely have cost $50! This weekend they've got even more sales than usual AND they're offering completely free shipping with the code: MEMDAY!

So, check them out! Even if you don't have children, this is a great way to get nice baby gifts for pretty cheap! Also, I was just browsing the site one last time and noticed that they have quite a few non-children items: women's jewelry, shoes, bags, and sunglasses. So there is something for the ladies as well! Click this link and sign up for a free account. Yes, it's true: just about every site you visit these days wants you to register for an account. But thankfully all they ask for is your email address and a password you create; no personal information unless you decide to buy. What I decided to do for all these sites is actually get a brand new email account that is for nothing but all of these sites. That way my regular email doesn't get cluttered with all the emails! Super simple way to keep things...simple! :)

Eversave Deal

Today's Eversave deal is $25 for $50 worth of hair products at folica.com. Don't worry if you're not in the Charlotte area - it says that this is the Charlotte deal, but it is a national deal! I've never purchased anything from folica.com, but I just checked out their website and it looks pretty cool. They have tons of salon-brand hair care products, hair dryers, flat irons, you name it! The prices don't look that extraordinary, but I think there is a possibility of a great deal for today and tomorrow! If you buy today's deal, you'll get a code for a $50 credit sent to your email within the next 24 hours (sometimes right away if enough people have already bought the save). Currently, folica.com is also offering a deal where you get $10 off of a $50 purchase, $20 off of $75, and $30 off of $100. Once you get to $75 worth of products, you also get free shipping!
So, my thinking is that you buy today's Eversave deal for $25, and do the following:
Find $75 worth of products (enter code MAYSAVINGS) & get $20 off! Current total $55.
Then use the code from Eversave and it will take $50 off, bringing your total to $5.
Then your shipping is also free!
When it's all said and done, you've gotten $75 worth of products and free shipping for a total of $30! That's a 60% savings!
Coupons do not apply to Chi products! :(

Click this link to sign up for and get today's Eversave Deal! Leave a comment letting me know what you've gotten!

$1 Flip-Flops at Bon-Ton

I don't know about you, but I probably buy a few new pairs of flip-flops every summer. Of course, the best kind for going to the pool/beach are the rubbery kind that don't get messed up when wet! With a little looking and patience, I can usually find a pair of these at Target or Marshall's for about $5-6. Well, I just found out about this site called Bon-Ton (on my friend's site), and I just ordered a pair of black flip-flops, shipped, for $1.12! Where I've posted below, you can see that the original sale price is $1.49 (on a pair of flip-flops normally $7.49). I used this code:ECM25SHSY11 to bring the price down to $1.12. Then I used code: 2011SELECTGUEST to give me free shipping! They have several colors, but I'm a pretty traditional person - so I stuck with black! :) Look below to see how it all worked out and then visit Bon-Ton for your very own $1.12 flip-flops!!!

Harris Teeter - Last Day for Triple Coupons!!! (Tuesday, May 24th)

In the past 6 days I've made 4 trips to Harris Teeter for their triple coupon deal! I've spent a total of $60.40 on all four trips combined, getting $218 worth of groceries/toiletries/household items. I saved $120 with coupons alone (the other $38 in savings was store sales/promotions). Harris Teeter will double coupons up to 99¢ every day, but getting the extra bit makes a huge difference! This is the first time in 14 months that they've done triple coupons, so I'm not sure how long it will be before they do it again. So if you haven't taken advantage of this amazing deal - today is your last day! Also, Harris Teeter updated their coupon policy! Now, they will take one coupon per item - even on B1G1 deals. Even though their B1G1 sales are really just 1/2 off sales, they used to only let you use 1 coupon because they said one of the items was "free". They've now changed it - so B1G1 deals are fantastic with double and triple coupons! Because of this change, I was able to get free Colgate toothpaste and toothbrushes, free Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, 9¢ Domino Brown Sugar and Confectioners Sugar, free Athenos Greek Yogurt, and multiple other items for around 25¢-50¢.So get out there and stock your fridge and pantry!

San Antonio's Modern Mexican Restaurant - Southpark (Charlotte) - $5 any menu item!!!

While shopping Harris Teeter's triple coupon sale this week, I met a super nice lady who I noticed was using a print out from Southern Savers (the same site I use for Harris Teeter sale match-ups). Of course we were instant coupon clipping kindred spirits, and she invited me to a coupon swap in a couple of weeks! I'm so excited! Anyway, she told me about this restaurant (San Antonio's Modern Mexican Restaurant ) and how everything on the menu is $5 in the month of May! I checked out their website (kind of sparse) and some reviews - and they are quite mixed. There are quite a few complaints about rude and slow staff. But, with $1 margaritas and $5 for any item on the menu - it's certainly worth a try! Apparently you need to be sure to ask for the cheap margaritas (unless specified, they'll give you the $10 ones). It's located by McCormick and Schmick's in Southpark Mall (facing Barclay Downs). So, if you're in the Charlotte area and are looking for a super cheap night out, you may want to give San Antonio's Modern Mexican Restaurant a try!

Pear Tree Greetings

Most of you that know me well, know that I love stationery! Do you remember Olympia Sales Club? When I was 10-12 years old, I would go door-to-door to sell their stationery. I would earn $2/item sold - which I could then turn around and spend on stuff from the catalog! Ahhh - good times! Anyway - Pear Tree Greetings is an online stationery company that is giving away a completely free set of Kids Stationery - with free shipping! All you have to do to get started is enter in your email address! There are no codes or special tricks! Just click on this link and it'll take you right there!

Here's a review of my order:

Gift Card Rescue

Have you heard about giftcardrescue.com? I heard about this website a while back and forgot about it until I was reminded (on another site) today! It is really a genius idea! Basically, they buy and sell gift cards at a discount! Here's the concept: sometimes people end up with gift cards to places where they don't really shop - so they'd rather just have the cash. So, they list their gift cards on this site and you can buy them at a 5-30% discount off the face value! The dollar amounts are random, but here are a few that I found - just in a quick search:
Barnes and Noble: $50 GC for $44 (12% savings)
Aeropostale: $41.30 GC for $35.93 (13% savings)
Nike: $25 GC for $22.50 (10% savings)
Kohl's: $41.31 GC for $35.11 (15% savings)
Charlotte Russe: $26.06 GC for $20.02 (22% savings)
Mimi Maternity: $25.00 GC for $18.75 (25% savings)
Dick's Sporting Goods: $96.27 GC for $81.82 (15% savings)
Lowe's: $67.07 GC for $60.36 (10% savings)

So these are just a handful of the ones I saw - but what a cool idea?!?!? So, what I'm thinking is that not only would this be a great place to look for gift cards for gifts (think of all the weddings, graduations, teacher gifts right about this time of year) - but also if you know you're going to make a purchase! Especially the ones at Lowe's! Or if you're going to buy a new pair of tennis shoes or racquet at Dick's - getting a 15% discount before you even apply any coupons is awesome on those bigger purchases! Anyway - just check them out! Super cool! giftcardrescue.com

Saving Star

I just heard about this new service called savingstar.com -  and it is almost too good to be true! This is the description from their website:

SavingStar is the first national, fully digital, grocery eCoupon service, available for free at www.savingstar.com and on iPhone and Android mobile apps. There's nothing to clip, nothing to print. Providing exclusive eCoupons redeemable at over 24,000 grocery and drug stores throughout the country, SavingStar’s eCoupons are linked to customers’ loyalty cards and offer a more convenient and eco-friendly way to save on groceries than paper coupons. SavingStar automatically adds the value of each eCoupon redeemed into users' SavingStar accounts, enabling them to pick their payout from cash to gift cards to charity donations.

So that's it! You just click the coupons you want from their database and they load onto your store savings cards. Whenever you purchase those items - they'll deposit the value of the e-coupon into your account. Once you've reached at least $5.00, you can cash out in the form of a bank draft, paypal, amazon gift card, or a donation!

Here's what I did (so you can see how simple it is):
1) I went to their site, entered my email address and picked a password.
2) Then I entered my zip code and they listed all the stores that participate. In may area, the ones that I actually go to: CVS and Harris Teeter. I also entered in Lowes Foods and Food Lion because I have loyalty cards there - but I probably shop there only once a year. Anyway..
3) Then I clicked on 30 of the 60 coupons. They load to all of my cards.
4) They sent me a verification email and I clicked on the link in it to verify my account.
DONE!

There should be a new batch of coupons to load at the beginning of each month! And here's the kicker: they can be STACKED with manufacturer and store coupons!!! Yippee!!! Really, you nor the store you're using it at, has any knowledge of you using your e-coupons (unless you have a great memory and can just remember that you've got a certain e-coupon). You get no discount (other than the paper coupons you're using) at the actual time of purchase - the savings are banked in your savingstar account! Click on this link to get to their website and load your loyalty card numbers!!!

Do you have a Rue La La credit?

If you've recently signed up for Rue La La and got the $20 credit (no longer available) - then you might want to check out the "Stylishly Done Rainy Days" Sale section here! While they're sold out of the super cheap umbrellas, there are some adorable kids rain boots for only $15.90 + $9.95 shipping - makes it only about $5.85 (if you have the $20 credit). I checked out the other boutique offerings and everything else is pretty pricey. But, if you don't find anything now - just wait a few days; the deals change frequently! If you don't know about Rue La La, you can sign up for free by clicking on this link!

Deal of the Day - May 5th

Paper Coterie is a brand new site that features photo books, cards, stationery, and miscellaneous paper goods! As many of you know, these are some of my favorite things! Well, they are offering a super deal through May 6th (tomorrow)! You can get $40 worth of products from their site for FREE! All you have to do is pay shipping (which will be around $9-$10). Just type in coupon code: OPENHOUSE  at checkout! I have found so many things on there that I want, that I'm having to narrow it down. Here are some of my favorites:
You can upload your own pictures and recipes into this book! It has 40 water resistant, tear-proof pages and 5 different designs! Would be a great way to preserve family recipes, or a great wedding/graduation gift!
Growth Chart - $28-$30
11x39 and about 24 different designs! You can upload your child (or children's) picture into this chart and track their growth! So cute!
Today Book - $29
This is such a cute twist on a scrap book - I LOVE it! It's an 8x8 book with a 30 page minimum. When you open the book you can insert a picture on one side and then describe what made that day special on the opposite page. Such a cute way to remember special days!
Also tons of cute calendars, posters, photo books, journals, baby books, etc. You've got to check this site out! But don't delay, the super sale ends at midnight tomorrow!!!
