Friday's Deals

Charlotte Shoppers: tomorrow is the last day for Shower me with Love's warehouse sale. They rented space between Firebirds and Scout & Molly's and everything is marked 70-90% off. I went today and while it's a little picked over, there are still lots of clothes, some great furniture, and some little things here and there. I got $143 worth of items for only $38 (with tax)! A lot of what I found I can't actually use for my daughter, but they will make fantastic baby presents to have on-hand!!!

Earth Fare:

Free item of the week (with $5 purchase)

Rite Aid Update: I've gone twice this week and this is what I've been able to get so far. Keep in mind that I'm starting slowly until I get the hang of it - so no big complex transactions with tons of coupons!
First Visit:
Bought 3 packages of Pampers Diapers for $9.99 each = $29.97
Used 3 manufacturer coupons totally $5.00 off = $24.97
Got back $15 worth of Up Rewards Cash back (because I bought $30 worth of Pampers and at least $10 in baby products)
Second Visit:
Bought 8 pack of Gillette Fusion Power Cartridges for $30.99
Used $5.00 manufacturer coupon = $25.99
Used $15 Up Rewards Cash from first visit
Paid $10.99 and got $10 Up Rewards Cash back (because I bought at least $30 worth of Gillette products)

They have Cascade Complete Liquid 75 oz bottles on sale for $4.99 (which is the detergent that works the absolute best in my dishwasher). So, I'm going to go back and use my $10 in UP Rewards cash to get a couple of bottles. When it's all said and done, here's what I will have spent:

3 Packages of Pampers (normally $9.99 each)
1 Package of Gillette Cartridges (normally $30.99)
2 Bottles of Cascade (normally $7.99 each)
Total Value: $76.96
Total Spent: $35.98

That's about a 55% savings and I'm getting EXACTLY what I want.  A lot of times, when couponing, I may get the Huggies Diapers because they're on sale and I have better coupons - but I prefer the Pampers. On the razors, I normally don't get these because they are SO expensive. If I do splurge and get the Gillete Fusion, I'll normally just get the manual ones and not the power cartridges. And I've been getting the action-pac dishwashing detergent, because they are cheaper. But my dishwasher really does so much better with the liquid - and the Cascade Complete in particular. So I am very excited about being able to get such "high end" (for me, anyway) items - and still save 55%!
