A Few Good Things

Cardstore.com is giving away a free card! Just use promo code: CCE2246 at the checkout and it will take 100% of the cost off! You can even have them print the recipients address on the envelope, stick a stamp on it, and mail it for you! I just personalized a birthday card with pictures of my daughter and had them mail it directly to my grandmother! I'm excited because I'll actually get her card there BEFORE her birthday! I'm notorious for buying cards, then not sending them because I don't have a stamp, or want to stick a picture in it and need to print it off, or whatever... This kind of thing is PERFECT for someone like me! :-) Hurry though, limited to the first 25,000!

Valspar Paint is giving away 750 Paint Starter Kits every day in the month of March! The kit includes  8-ounce paint sample, mini roller, paint tray and coordinating color chips, and a $5-off coupon for a Valspar purchase at Lowe’s stores nationwide. All you have to do is go here and choose from 3,000 different paint colors....and be VERY fast! The offer opens every day at 10:00 am. I logged into the system at 10:04am and they were already out of offers for the day!

I plan to do this with my free paint sample (chaulkboard paint on top):

Friday's Deals

Charlotte Shoppers: tomorrow is the last day for Shower me with Love's warehouse sale. They rented space between Firebirds and Scout & Molly's and everything is marked 70-90% off. I went today and while it's a little picked over, there are still lots of clothes, some great furniture, and some little things here and there. I got $143 worth of items for only $38 (with tax)! A lot of what I found I can't actually use for my daughter, but they will make fantastic baby presents to have on-hand!!!

Earth Fare:

Free item of the week (with $5 purchase)

Rite Aid Update: I've gone twice this week and this is what I've been able to get so far. Keep in mind that I'm starting slowly until I get the hang of it - so no big complex transactions with tons of coupons!
First Visit:
Bought 3 packages of Pampers Diapers for $9.99 each = $29.97
Used 3 manufacturer coupons totally $5.00 off = $24.97
Got back $15 worth of Up Rewards Cash back (because I bought $30 worth of Pampers and at least $10 in baby products)
Second Visit:
Bought 8 pack of Gillette Fusion Power Cartridges for $30.99
Used $5.00 manufacturer coupon = $25.99
Used $15 Up Rewards Cash from first visit
Paid $10.99 and got $10 Up Rewards Cash back (because I bought at least $30 worth of Gillette products)

They have Cascade Complete Liquid 75 oz bottles on sale for $4.99 (which is the detergent that works the absolute best in my dishwasher). So, I'm going to go back and use my $10 in UP Rewards cash to get a couple of bottles. When it's all said and done, here's what I will have spent:

3 Packages of Pampers (normally $9.99 each)
1 Package of Gillette Cartridges (normally $30.99)
2 Bottles of Cascade (normally $7.99 each)
Total Value: $76.96
Total Spent: $35.98

That's about a 55% savings and I'm getting EXACTLY what I want.  A lot of times, when couponing, I may get the Huggies Diapers because they're on sale and I have better coupons - but I prefer the Pampers. On the razors, I normally don't get these because they are SO expensive. If I do splurge and get the Gillete Fusion, I'll normally just get the manual ones and not the power cartridges. And I've been getting the action-pac dishwashing detergent, because they are cheaper. But my dishwasher really does so much better with the liquid - and the Cascade Complete in particular. So I am very excited about being able to get such "high end" (for me, anyway) items - and still save 55%!

Restaurant.com: has just loaded new restaurant certificates and released an 80% off code! Enter promo code: EXPLORE at the checkout to get 80% off! Plus, go through ShopatHome to earn 25% cash back on whatever you spend!

Adding a New Store to my Repertoire

Rite Aid - I've been hesitant to start monitoring another store because I figured all I could handle were the ones I currently use. However, I think I'm simply going to do a switch. I was previously shopping at Walgreen's a lot because I get my prescriptions there, but I only get those prescriptions once every 3 months. Plus, Walgreen's is not close to my house or usual driving path! So, I am going to be learning the ropes at Rite Aid instead. What I've learned so far:
- Their customer card is called the Wellness Card and you can get one at the check-out
- Their rewards are called Up rewards and are just like CVS extra-care bucks that print on the bottom of your receipt

Yesterday I was able to get 3 packages of Pampers diapers for a net cost of $11 (or $3.66 each)! So I'd say I'm off to a pretty good start! More Rite Aid updates to follow as I learn more!

Also...

Bebe Bella - one of my favorite sites for super-soft baby items - is having a 65% off Minky Baby Blanket sale. I know TONS of pregnant people right now (two of them are my sisters!!!) and these make fantastic gifts! Just enter the code: cuckoo65 in to get 65% off (making blankets that are normally $52, only $18.20). Also, their weekly deal is on Child Hats, Mittens, and Scarves - starting at only $3.20! Just go to bebebelladesigns.com.

Earth Fare Loot

There are some really great deals to be had at Earth Fare right now with the following coupons! But first, you'll need to sign up for their mobile coupons through the "Feed your Phone" promotion. Just text the word "EAT" to 71700. You'll immediately get back a mobile coupon for $10 off of a $25 purchase. Then you'll get a mobile coupon about once a week - normally only good for the day that they send it! So you have to act fast!

Today's mobile coupon was for free Earth Fare Organic Coco-Vanilla Creme Cookies - with a $5 purchase. I wouldn't normally buy these, but they'll make a good snack to have on-hand when we have others over - or if I want to splurge and make "oreo" delight! :-)

If you create an online account with Earth Fare, you'll be signed up for their "Welcome Home" promotion. They will then send you emails on a weekly basis for a free "item of the week" with a minimal purchase. This week's free item was 1 lb bag of Organic Carrots with a $5 purchase!

Another really cool thing they do on the Earth Fare website is "The Boot Challenge". Just click on the "What you Eat" tab and then click on "Take the Boot Challenge". They hide the brand of both items and simply list their ingredients. You decide which item gets the boot (it's pretty obvious). Even if you get it wrong, they still give you a coupon that allows you to bring in your new or USED item to exchange it for their healthier version! This month you can trade in mascara!!!

So today I went to Earth Fare (well, actually my husband went) and there were a couple of things that we needed anyway (the Cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and pearled barley). He got everything pictured, with tax, for $13.22. Those of you who aren't familiar with Earth Fare may not be that impressed at our total. But, it's a fairly pricey place to shop (if you're not shopping sales). Considering that we got about $18 worth of stuff for free, and all of it is really good quality, mostly organic - I was pretty happy with that total!

Pampers Coupons

Thanks to Hollie at welovefree for the heads-up on these fantastic Pampers Coupons:

$1.50 off One Pampers Swaddlers or Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers
$1.50 off One Pampers Cruisers or Baby Dry Diapers

If you log into your Swagbuck's account and click on the "Earn" tab and then click on coupons, it will take you to these amazing coupons. Plus, you'll earn 10 SB's on each coupons that you use! If you're not a Swagbucks member yet, click here to join. Remember, you can print each coupon twice - so go back and re-select after you've printed your first round! Excited about these coupons! Apparently this is one of the first times that P&G have published Pampers coupons online! Don't know how often they're going to do this, so don't miss out!
