Staples Loot

I don't have a picture, but I wanted to let you know about my fantastic run to Staples this evening! Here's what I got:

(2) Roseart Crayons (24 pack) - $.01
(2) Bic Roundstick (10 pack) - $.01
(2) Staples Brand School Glue - $.01
(4) Sharpwriter Mechanical Pencils (10 pack) - $.25  (regularly $3.49 each)
(4) Really Useful Boxes - $.25 (regularly $1.00 each)
(1) 2013 Desktop Calendar - $4.99
(2) Reams of 8.5" x 11" Staples Copy-paper - $6.99
(1) Staples Handy File - $10.49
(1) Staples 3-Tab File Folders - $5.29
(1) Scotch Super Glue - $2.99
(1) Sharpie Fine Markers (5 pack) - $1.00 (regularly $4.79)
Minus 5% for using my Staples Reward Card
Minus $4.00 ink reward coupon I had from turning in an old cartridge
Plus $2.53 in Sales Tax = $37.43

I then went to stapleseasyrebates.com and entered in my rebate information (it was so easy, that I was able to do it while having a fairly serious phone conversation with a close friend). I will receive three rebate checks back:

$13.48 - for the 2 reams of paper (making them only $.25 each)
$4.99 - for the Desktop Calendar (making it free)
$2.99 - for the Super Glue (making it free)
Total Refund: $21.76

Total Net Spent: $15.67

Interesting Note: I needed the Handy File and 3-Tab File Folders that were not on sale, nor did I have coupons for those! Just those two things were $15.78 - my 5% discount + sales tax. Basically what that means is that since I had the $4 coupon, I paid for those two essential items - and then got everything else for free! I hope you can see that you can literally walk into Staples - and come out with about $52.19 for about $3-4. Keep in mind that you do have to pay for the easy rebate items up-front, and then wait for your rebate check to arrive (normally about 4-6 weeks). So much fun! I felt like a kid in a candy store! :-)
